About this course

Many capable candidates are turned down not because they lack ability but because they are underprepared — a weak resume, no practice with aptitude tests, a nervous answer to "Tell me about yourself" or no clear examples of their work. This course takes you through each stage of a typical hiring process for freshers and early-career roles in India: building an ATS-friendly resume and LinkedIn profile, finding genuine openings, attempting aptitude and written tests, performing in group discussions, and answering HR, behavioural and role-specific interview questions.

How the course runs

Classes are held live on Google Meet every Saturday and Sunday morning. Concepts are followed immediately by practice: resume reviews, timed aptitude sets, live group discussions and interview practice in front of the group, with structured feedback each time. In the final weeks every learner takes a one-to-one mock interview of about 15 minutes, with structured feedback. You finish the course with a polished resume, a set of prepared answers using the STAR method and a clear job-search plan.

Syllabus

9 modules · approximately 78 hours of live training

Module 1Understanding the hiring process 6 hrs

How employers in India hire freshers and early-career candidates: job portals, campus and off-campus drives, referrals, screening calls, assessment tests and interview rounds.

Module 2Resume and cover letter 10 hrs

Choosing a format, writing achievement-based bullet points, tailoring to each job description, an ATS-friendly layout in Google Docs or Word, and short cover letters and application emails.

Module 3LinkedIn and job search strategy 8 hrs

Building a complete LinkedIn profile, networking politely, setting job alerts on portals, recognising fake job offers and fee-charging scams, and tracking applications in a simple spreadsheet.

Module 4Aptitude and written tests 10 hrs

Quantitative aptitude, logical reasoning and verbal ability questions of the kind used in common placement tests, with timed practice sets and time-saving techniques.

Module 5Group discussions 8 hrs

Types of group discussion, opening and closing, adding points backed by facts, handling dominant speakers, and practice rounds on current topics.

Module 6HR and behavioural interviews 10 hrs

"Tell me about yourself", strengths and weaknesses, explaining gaps and other common questions; preparing STAR stories from your studies, projects, internships and work.

Module 7Role-specific rounds and company research 6 hrs

Reading a job description closely, researching the company, preparing for domain or technical questions in your field, and asking the interviewer good questions.

Module 8Video interviews, offers and salary discussion 6 hrs

Camera, lighting and audio for online interviews, one-way video interview platforms, follow-up emails, understanding offer letters and CTC, and discussing salary politely.

Module 9Mock interviews and final review 14 hrs

A one-to-one mock interview of about 15 minutes for every learner, scheduled across the final weeks, with structured feedback; a final review of your resume; and a personal action plan for your job search.

Eligibility

Minimum qualification: Class 12 / Higher Secondary pass — final-year college students and recent graduates benefit most
Basic English reading and writing (interview practice is mainly in English, with Hindi support where needed)
A laptop is strongly recommended for resume work and online tests; a smartphone works for most sessions
A camera, microphone and stable internet connection for mock interviews on Google Meet

Does this course guarantee a job or placement?

No. The course does not include placement or any guarantee of a job. It prepares you for each stage of the hiring process — resume, tests, group discussions and interviews — so that you can apply and perform with more confidence. Results in real interviews depend on your preparation, the role and the employer.

Will I get a one-to-one mock interview?

Yes. Interview practice runs through the course, and in the final weeks every learner takes a one-to-one mock interview of about 15 minutes on Google Meet, scheduled across those weeks, with structured feedback on content, body language and communication. Group discussion practice rounds are held as well.

When are the classes held?

Every Saturday and Sunday, 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM IST, live on Google Meet for 3 months — about 78 hours in total. The weekend schedule lets final-year students and working candidates attend alongside college or a job. The current batch dates are shown on this page.

I am not from an IT or engineering background. Is the course suitable for me?

Yes. The resume, aptitude, group discussion and HR interview modules apply to every field — commerce, arts, science, engineering, management and vocational courses. In the role-specific module you prepare for the kind of jobs you are targeting, whether in sales, banking, operations, teaching, IT or another area.

What if I miss a weekend class?

Try to attend every weekend, since practice rounds happen live; at least 75% attendance is required for the certificate. If you miss a class, use the notes, practice sets and other learning materials on your Check Application Status page to catch up before the next session.

What is the fee, and what certificate do I get?

The total fee shown on this page is for the full 3-month programme; payment options are on the Fees page and refunds follow the Refund and Cancellation Policy. After meeting the attendance requirement and passing the assessments (at least 50% overall, including the minimum mark in the final mock interview), you receive the Certificate in Interview Preparation from Appsgain Technologies with a marksheet, after review and approval, verifiable online with its certificate number or QR code.
