Overview

About this course

Many learners understand English well but hesitate to speak it. This course is built to close that gap. You start with everyday situations — introducing yourself, asking for directions, phone calls, shopping and small talk — and move steadily to giving opinions, telling stories, joining discussions and speaking at work. Grammar is taught only as far as you need it to speak correctly, with special attention to the mistakes Hindi and other Indian-language speakers commonly make, such as tense confusion, missing articles and word-for-word translation.

How the course runs

Classes are held live on Google Meet from Monday to Friday, so you speak English every weekday. Each session has a short language point, guided practice and pair or small-group speaking. Between classes you complete short speaking tasks — voice notes, reading aloud and a daily English diary — and the trainer reviews a selection of them with you each week. An ungraded speaking check at the start, a mid-course speaking test and a final speaking test show how far you have come.

  • Daily conversation practice built around real situations
  • Practical grammar: tenses, questions, articles, prepositions and common errors
  • Pronunciation, word stress, intonation and listening practice
  • Vocabulary, phrasal verbs and polite workplace English

Learning outcomes

By the end of the course you will be able to:

  • Introduce yourself and hold everyday conversations with confidence
  • Use the main tenses, question forms, articles and prepositions correctly while speaking
  • Avoid common errors caused by translating word for word from Hindi or another Indian language
  • Pronounce words more clearly with correct word stress and natural intonation
  • Follow spoken English in phone calls, meetings, news clips and videos
  • Describe experiences, give opinions and tell a short story in English
  • Handle telephone calls, customer conversations and simple meetings in English
  • Keep improving on your own with a daily practice routine

Questions about this course

Frequently asked questions

Answers to common questions about this course.

I understand English but cannot speak it. Is this course for me?

Yes — this course is designed for exactly that situation. You need to be able to read simple English sentences. The course starts with easy, everyday situations and gives you speaking practice in every class, so your confidence builds gradually. Explanations are given in Hindi where needed, but you are encouraged to speak in English as much as possible.

How long is the course and what are the class timings?

The course runs for 4 months with live classes on Google Meet, Monday to Friday, 7:00 PM – 8:15 PM IST — about 100 hours in total. Classes are short and daily because regular practice builds fluency faster than long weekly sessions. The current batch dates are shown on this page.

Will this course prepare me for IELTS, TOEFL or PTE?

No. This is a spoken English skill course focused on everyday and workplace communication. It does not follow an exam syllabus and does not give you an IELTS, TOEFL or PTE score. The speaking and listening practice can still help if you later prepare for such an exam separately.

What happens if I miss a class?

Because the course is built on daily practice, regular attendance matters, and at least 75% attendance is required for the certificate. If you miss a class, use the notes and learning materials shared on your Check Application Status page and complete that day's speaking task before the next class.

What is the fee, and how do I pay?

The total fee shown on this page is for the full 4-month programme, covering all live classes, assessments and the certificate. After you apply, you can pay using the payment options listed on the Fees page. Refunds follow the published Refund and Cancellation Policy.

What certificate will I get?

After meeting the attendance requirement and scoring at least 50% overall in the assessments, including the minimum mark in the final speaking test, you receive the Certificate in Spoken English from Appsgain Technologies with a marksheet, after review and approval. It can be verified online with its certificate number or QR code. It is a course completion certificate, not a language proficiency test score, government qualification or guarantee of employment.
